How to backup your favorites from internet explorer

If you want to keep your favorites from internet explorer, you can back them up for future use with internet explorer or even other browsers like microsoft edge.  What you need to do is go to the star that leads to your favorites menu and select import and export from the dropdown.

From there you are going to select to export to a file and hit next

Check the favorites box and hit next

Hit next again.  This will save everything from your favorites bar

Lastly you can browse to where you want to save them and select export.  If you want access to them from a different or new computer, you should save them to your onedrive.

This process only saves favorites at the time of saving.  If you add or get rid of any favorites, you will have to go back and redo these steps to save those changes.

If you want to back up your favorites from edge, it is the same process.  It just looks a little different.  Instead of a dropdown, you just click the 3 dots in the favorites menu.

And when importing files to edge, you can select where you're getting your favorites from, but if you're importing them from internet explorer, be sure to select HTML file
