Credit students may withdraw on-line in their personal portal at MyNorthwoodTech, forms are also available from the Student Services office.

NorthwoodTech recommends before dropping a course, that students contact their advisor, or instructor of the course.  Each class has a specific drop deadline, refunds and 'W' grades are calculated using the Wisconsin Technical College System refund schedule:

  • 100% before the class meets.
  • 80% if less than 11% of the course’s total potential hours of instruction have been completed.
  • 60% if 11-20% of the course’s total potential hours of instruction have been completed.
  • Zero after more than 20% of the course’s total potential hours of instruction have been completed.
  • The last day you may withdraw (W) from a course is up to 80% of the course length
  • Dropping a class may affect any financial aid you have been awarded.  It is recommended that you contact your campus financial advisor in advance.
