Understanding Windows 11 Updates: Schedule and Update History

Microsoft releases Windows 11 updates on the second Tuesday of each month, known as "Patch Tuesday".  These updates include both feature enhancements and cumulative security fixes. Feature updates are released annually in the second half of the calendar year, providing new functionalities and improvements.  For a comprehensive list of all feature and cumulative updates, you can visit Microsoft's official Windows 11 update history page.

To view the update history on your Windows 11 device, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Start button and select Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Navigate to Windows Update.
  3. Click on Update history to see a list of installed updates.
